STARC Art brings out the creative gifts of individuals with disABILITIES by pairing them with local artists. They work together with a variety of media to create beautiful pieces that are then displayed and sold throughout the state.

These unique and fruitful partnerships offer individuals enrolled in STARC programs or receiving STARC services, the opportunity to explore their artistic sides. Even more important is the sense of pride, accomplishment and personal growth attained with every work of art. Please consider adding one of these meaningful pieces to your collection!

MEET THE ARTISTS

Connie is a talented artist who has been creating art at STARC for many years. Her attention to detail shines in her realistic style, bringing each piece to life. Always eager to start a new project, Connie approaches her work with enthusiasm—and always with a smile.

Matthew enjoys traveling with his family. He loves all sports! He also enjoys music, dancing, art, and talking on the phone. He has a great sense of humor and always brings a smile to those around him. Matthew is a kind and caring person who enjoys making new friends and sharing his friendship with others.

Alexis is always on the go—whether she’s bowling a strike, catching the latest movie, shopping for treasures, or expressing her creativity through art. She seeks to never miss a birthday and greets everyone with a bright, cheerful smile.

Leonard is a very kind- hearted and thoughtful man. He enjoys creating his own art, he also draw faces, landscape, and whatever anyone asks him to paint. Leonard has a God-given talent that all of us enjoy.

Tiffany is a truly joyful person. She enjoys creating art and developing various craft and jewelry concepts. She takes great pride in owning her own heat press, which allows her to print shirts. Tiffany loves to connect with her numerous friends at STARC and “get going” on daytime adventures with them.

Osby is a friendly, chatty, and sociable guy who likes to visit every room at STARC. He loves STARC and always wants to know what’s next…he always wants to be involved and is often the center of attention. Of course, Osby brags on his artwork while he is visiting with his family and friends.
